【Abstract】 The old buildings carry the history and memory of a city, and contain culture and characteristics of the city. Built in the 1950 s, the soviet-style red brick buildings in Chengdu have witnessed the development of the city for nearly 60 years, containing profound historical culture and memory of the times. However, many red brick buildings have been demolished in the urban renewal and reconstruction.
