百里香精油-蜂蜡抗菌纸的制备及其性能研究
Preparation of Antimicrobial Active Paper Based on Thyme Essential Oil and Beeswax and Its Properties Analysis
【摘要】 本研究以百里香精油为抗菌剂,以蜂蜡、壳聚糖、多孔沸石为涂层基材,涂布于原纸,制备一种具有较强抑菌作用和抗水性的果蔬保鲜用抗菌纸。采用气相色谱-质谱联用仪鉴定百里香精油的化学成分,并测试其对六种食源性微生物的抑菌效果;研究了不同浓度百里香精油抗菌纸对六种供试微生物的气相扩散抑菌效果,考查了抗菌纸涂层表面微观结构及抗菌纸的Cobb值和抗张强度。结果表明:百里香精油主要成分是百里香酚(65.62%)和香芹酚(15.61%),其对六种供试微生物具有强抑菌活性;抗菌纸的抑菌效果随着百里香精油浓度升高而增强,其中浓度为5%的百里香精油抗菌纸具有最强抑菌活性,其对青霉、灰霉、根霉、交链孢霉菌的抑菌圈直径分别是62mm、61mm、55mm、43mm,各组抗菌纸对细菌的抑菌效果相对霉菌较弱。本研究设计的涂层配方可在原纸表面形成一层含有蜂蜡的致密结构,提升抗菌纸的抗水性,但对纸张拉伸性能影响不明显。
【Abstract】 In order to obtain significant antimicrobial activity and water resistance,a new kind of antimicrobial active paper for fruit and vegetable preservation was prepared by coating on base paper, and the antimicrobial coating was made of thyme essential oil(EO) as antimicrobial agent and beeswax, chitosan, and porous zeolite used for coating matrix. The chemical compositions of thyme EO were identified by GC-MS analysis, and its antimicrobial activities against six tested microorganisms were evaluated. The effect of different concentrations of thyme EO on vapor diffusion antimicrobial activity of antimicrobial active paper against six tested microorganisms were studied. The surface microstructure of coating, Cobb values and tensile strength properties of the antimicrobial papers were investigated. The results showed that the main components of thyme EO are thymol(65.62%) and carvacrol(15.61%). Thyme EO shows effective inhibitory activity against the six tested microorganisms. The antimicrobial activity of antimicrobial active papers increases with the increase of the concentration of thyme EO, which with concentration 5%(v/v) of thyme EO exhibites the strongest antimicrobial activity, and the inhibitory zone diameters against Penicillium, Botrytis, Rhizopus and Alternaria are 62 mm, 61 mm, 55 mm and 43 mm, respectively. The antimicrobial activity of each kind of antimicrobial active paper against two kinds of bacterias is weaker than that of fungi. A dense structure containing beeswax is formed on the surface of the base papers according to the designed coating formulation, resulting in an increase of water resistance in antimicrobial active paper. The effect of antimicrobial coating on the tensile properties of paper is not significant.
