植物SABATH甲基转移酶家族生物学功能研究进展
Research Progress in Biological Functions of Plant SABATH Methyltransferases Family
【摘要】 植物SABATH甲基转移酶是甲基转移酶家族中重要的一类,该家族以最先发现的3个家族成员的基因名称缩写命名,是一类能够催化植物激素和小分子化合物的羧基和N原子甲基化的酶,在植物激素及相关信号分子代谢中行使了重要的生物学功能。研究表明,SABATH甲基转移酶不仅直接参与调控植物激素代谢、挥发性化合物的合成,还能通过改变植物次生代谢影响有益和有害昆虫的行为,从而帮助植物完成生命周期,保护植物免受病虫危害。本文简要综述SABATH甲基转移酶的分类及其在植物生长、病虫害防御反应等生物过程中的作用的研究进展。
【Abstract】 Plant SABATH methyltransferases family is named based on the earliest-identified 3 genes belonging to this family, a class of enzymes that catalyze carboxyl groups and N atoms of plant hormones and small molecules methylation, they play an important biological functions in the metabolism of plant hormones and related signal molecule. Current research showed that SABATH methyltransferase not only directly regulates the metabolism of plant hormones, synthesizes volatile compounds, but also affects the behavior of insects, helping plants to complete their life cycle, protecting plant from pests and diseases. We summarized the progress of plant SABATH methyltransferase research on classification, plant growth, defensive response.
