内蒙古自治区额济纳旗雅干地区上新世苦泉组花粉化石的发现及其意义

【摘要】 首次报道了内蒙古额济纳旗雅干地区"乌兰苏海组"的花粉化石,确定其时代为上新世,产出层位属于上新世苦泉组。根据岩石组合特征及主要花粉属种母体的可能生长环境,推测额济纳旗雅干地区在上新世属于北温带寒冷干旱气候环境。通过研究区及周边地区上新世孢粉组合的研究,发现该时期古气候环境和植被类型发生重大转变,佐证了青藏高原在上新世可能存在一次强烈隆升。

【Abstract】 It is the first time the pollen fossils were found from the so-called "Wulansuhai Formation"in Yagan area,Ejina Banner,Inner Mongolia.The geological age of the fossils is indicated as Pliocene,and the strata is assigned to the Pliocene Kuquan Formation.The mother plants yielding the pollen fossils and the depositional characteristics show that the study area might belong to the cold and arid climate environment of northern temperate zone.Through the discussion of Pliocene pollen assemblages in the adjacent area,the authors found that the paleoclimate and vegetation had taken place a major inversion during the Pliocene.This is highly consistent with the strong uplift process of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Pliocene.
