【Abstract】 With the development of leadership research and theory, the research methods of leadership have undergone a series of changes. This article systematically reviews major theories of leadership including the leaders-related leadership theories such as trait methodology and behavioral methodology as well as situation-related leadership theories such as contingency methodology, relational methodology and influential methodology. A new and integrated leadership research method should be adopted in the rapidly changing new era. This article aims to apply the leadership theory and its research methods on university leadership construction.更多还原
