【Abstract】 Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry drawn by Limbourg brothers is an outstanding representative of illustrated manuscripts of the Middle Ages in Europe. With a neat and beautiful miniature method, its integration of elegant decoration interest into realistic description, vivid in modelling and beautiful in colors, displaying the activities of characters and natural scenery in the twelve months of the year. It is not only branded with the courtly aesthetic taste in the 15th century, but also regarded as the pioneer of European landscape painting at some level. The unique feature of this set of illustrations lies in that through the exquisite depiction of the life scenes at all levels of western society in the late Medieval Ages, the painter firmly rooted the art in the real life, indicating the value orientation contrary to the medievalism.更多还原
