【Abstract】 Many studies have revealed the non-negligible hazard of PM2.5 to human health. By investigating the impact of PM2.5 on morbidities of infectious diseases in China’s mainland, the PM2.5 attributed morbidities of infectious diseases, as well as its variation trend were calculated regarding seven kinds of infectious diseases such as pertussis, scarlatina, measles, tuberculosis, rubella, mumps and influenza. The results showed that the PM2.5 attributed morbidities of the 7 infectious diseases mainly concentrated in middle and eastern of China’s mainland. The PM2.5 attributed morbidities of infectious diseases presented various declining trends except for the influenza, scarlatina and pertussis in a few regions. When the ρ(PM2.5) was under a safe value of the concentrations(10 μg/m3) proposed by world health organization,it was shown that in regions of dense population and high ρ(PM2.5) like Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, etc.,there would be a most significant reduction of the PM2.5 attributed morbidities.
