【Abstract】 The local colleges and universities in western China play an important role in training professional talents in the western regions. In the face of the western development, urban and rural harmonious development, rural revitalization and frontier governance, the public administration major in local colleges and universities in western China should take "Facing western China, Serving the grassroots units" as the main goal, and take "grassroots governance ability building" as the important content for professional training. Meanwhile, the public administration major should innovate the ideas of talents cultivation, optimize specialized course system and practice teaching link.
