The Effects of Gestational Hypertension on Fetuses and Newborns
【Abstract】 Objective To explore the effects of gestational hypertension on fetuses and newborns. Methods A retrospective study method was adopted. 64 pregnant women who were admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January 2018 to January 2019 were selected for the study. The general and clinical data of the two groups of women were collected. The subjects were divided into 32 cases in each group according to the diagnostic criteria of hypertension. The differences in pregnancy outcomes and neonatal conditions between the normal group and the hypertension group were observed and compared. Results By comparing the pregnancy outcomes of the two groups, the cesarean section rate, placental abruption rate, and postpartum hemorrhage rate in the normal group were significantly lower than those in the hypertension group(P < 0.05); the incidence of fetal distress and asphyxia occurred, the rates of neonatal jaundice and perinatal mortality in the normal group were significantly lower than those in the hypertensive group(P < 0.05). Conclusion Gestational hypertension has a great impact on fetal and neonatal growth restriction, cardiac function, blood glucose levels and nervous system, leading to the long-term and malignant development of fetal or neonatal diseases.
