Research progress of genome-wide association analysis of schizophrenia patients
【Abstract】 Schizophrenia is the most common type of severe psychiatric disease, with a lifetime prevalence rate of about 1%. Studies have found that the disease is a polygenic genetic disease, and the specific etiological mechanism has not yet been fully clarified. In recent years, whole-gene association analysis has developed rapidly, and has made breakthrough progress in many diseases, providing a better prospect for the genetic etiology diagnosis of diseases. As a typical complex mental disease, schizophrenia has also found many candidate genes for the disease. Uncovering the function of genes related to GWAS(Genome-Wide Association Analysis) and solving the causal relationship between genes and their related traits should be one of the main goals of GWAS in the future.
