【Abstract】 The VSC-HVDC transmission project is taken as the research background to introduce the principle of traveling wave protection in detail.The research status of the differential protection,the distance protection and the direction protection of traveling waves are respectively sorted out and summarized.Aimed at addressing the shortcoming that the traveling wave protection is easily disturbed by lightning strike interference,a new traveling wave protection method is introduced.Finally,the application prospects of various types of traveling wave protection in VSC-HVDC transmission lines are analyzed and envisaged.更多还原
