【Abstract】 Putian is the hometown for sea goddess Mazu. Promoting Putian’s urban public art polices helps cultivate the creativity of its citizen. Leveraging Mazu’s culture in urban public art design and planning would not only help Putian continue to carry its unique culture heritage, but also strengthen its precious collective memories. Furthermore, it helps exemplify Mazu’s spiritual values, i.e., benevolence and harmony, turning them into sustainable cultural and societal values for the city.
