【Abstract】 The Travel Notes in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, under the influence of the main tide of seeking national salvation and rejuvenation and the special natural and social environment of the northwest, showed a new era characteristics. The authors of the travel notes focus on the investigation and cognition of the complex social conditions in the northwest of China, which makes the travel notes record the bad living conditions, the backward social politics, the complex ethnic and religious problems of the people in the northwest of China.
