【Abstract】 Due to the poor industrial usability, the upper leaves of flue-cured tobacco has always restricted the development of cigarette industry in China. In order to provide a theoretical basis for improving usability of upper leaves of flue-cured tobacco in China, we reviewed the status of upper tobacco leaves quality and the significance of improving the usability of upper tobacco leaves, as well as the latest research of factors affecting the upper leaves, including ecological conditions, cultivation techniques, baking modulation, etc..
