固化光强和单体浓度对聚合物稳定液晶器件电光性能的影响

【摘要】 采用聚合引发相分离法(polymerization-induced phase separation,PIPS)制备了聚合物稳定液晶(PSLC)器件,利用光谱仪研究了聚合过程中不同的固化光强和单体浓度对PSLC器件电光特性的影响.结果表明,固化光强和单体浓度对PSLC器件的电光性能均有重要影响.在一定范围内,光强过小,光聚合不充分,造成阈值电压降低;光强增大,阈值电压会变高.单体浓度过低,形成的聚合物网络不稳固,导致异常的电光性能;单体浓度过大会导致阈值电压过高.

【Abstract】 Polymer stabilized liquid crystal(PSLC) devices were prepared by polymerization-induced phase separation(PIPS) process.Spectrometer was used to investigate the influence of different curing light intensities and monomer concentrations on the electro-optical properties of PSLC device.Results showed that both curing light intensity and monomer concentration had important effects on the electro-optical properties of PSLC device.Within a certain range,low light intensity caused inadequate photopolymerization,which led to low threshold voltage;threshold voltage increased with the increase of light intensity.Low monomer concentration caused unstable polymer network and unusual electro-optical characteristic.Excessive monomer concentration led to high threshold voltage.
