【Abstract】 The dream of building China into a sports power is an important part of the Chinese dream. General Secretary Xi Jinping made important speeches and gave important instructions on Chinese sports in the new era in perspective of the great national rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Its spiritual essence and theoretical characteristics demonstrates that the discussion on sports power has strengthened the theoretical and practical foundation of the development of sports with the Chinese characteristics, opened up a new realm of the road of building China into a sports power. It has significant values for accelerating sports in China and for promoting the development of world sports.
