【Abstract】 Parkinson’s disease(PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with prominent motor and nonmotor symptoms. A selective 5-HT2 A inverse agonist, pimavanserin, was approved in April, 2016 in the US for the treatment of hallucinations and delusions in PD. Pimavanserin is an antipsychotic with a unique mechanism of action(5-HT2 A receptor inverse agonist) and no measurable dopaminergic activity and has been demonstrated to be efficacious, well tolerated and safe for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease psychosis(PDP). The mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and clinical efficacy and safety of pimavanserin in PDP are reviewed.更多还原
