【Abstract】 The Shiyang River Basin is one of most water stress areas in northeast China. Successful practices of the Shiyang River Basin for implementing stringent water resources management system are systematically reviewed and summarized, so that it may provide a base for further restoration of the Shiyang River Basin and other inland river basins in the northeast China.
