【Abstract】 The research progress of macrobenthic biodiversity and ecology from the deep-sea in the world is reviewed in the present paper, especially the advances on the investigations and studies of macrobenthic biodiversity and ecology from the hydrotherms, cold seeps, seamounts, abysses and whale carcasses in China.
