两种310 GHz无线通信系统设计与比较

【摘要】 太赫兹波具有带宽超宽、波束窄、方向性好和传输容量大等特点,因而成为未来高速无线通信研究的热点.本文设计了两种310 GHz无线通信系统:一种是基于AMC 557高功率倍频链发射机和超外差接收机的通信链路;另一种是基于VDI谐波混频超外差收发的通信链路.系统传输性能的仿真结果表明:随着通信频率的升高,解调信号的失真逐渐增加.通过比较两种链路预算方案,发现基于AMC 557高功率发射链在传输距离上更有优势,发射功率为40 mW时,可以实现10 m距离、10 Gbps速率的无线数据传输,适用于Gbps量级的室内短距离大功率高速无线传输;基于谐波混频超外差收发的通信链路在通信速率上优势明显,通信速率可达20 Gbps,但受发射端输出功率-15 dBm限制,传输距离大幅缩短为0. 2 m,在链路中增加太赫兹透镜提高增益可以使通信距离延伸至2 m.而且这种发射机内部结构简单便于集成,有利于实际系统的搭建,更适用于10 Gbps级别以上的超高速短距离无线通信.

【Abstract】 Terahertz wave has the characteristics of wide bandwidth,narrow beam,good directionality and large transmission capacity,which has become the focus of high-speed wireless communication research in the future. In this paper,two kinds of 310 GHz wireless communication systems are designed: one is the communication link based on AMC 557 high-power frequency chain transmitter and super-heterodyne receiver,and the other is the communication link based on VDI harmonic mixing super-heterodyne transceiver. The simulation results of the system transmission performance show that the distortion of demodulation signals increases with the increase of communication frequency. By comparing the two link budget schemes,it is found that the AMC 557 high-power transmission chain has an advantage in transmission distance. When the transmission power is 40 mW,wireless data transmission at a distance of 10 m and a rate of 10 Gbps can be realized,which is suitable for indoor short-distance high-power high-speed wireless transmission on Gbps scale. The communication link based on harmonic mixing super-heterodyne transceiver has a significant advantage in the communication rate,the communication rate can reach 20 Gbps,but the transmission distance is greatly reduced to 0. 2 m due to the transmission power is limited by-15 dBm. Adding terahertz lenses to the link improves the gain by extending the communication distance to 2 m. Moreover,the internal structure of the transmitter is simple and easy to integrate,which is conducive to the construction of actual systems and is more suitable for ultra-high-speed short-distance wireless communications above the 10 Gbps level.
