【Abstract】 Panax quinquefolium Linn. is an important Chinese medicinal material. It not only has pharmacological effects like cardiovascular protection, anti-tumor, etc. but also has good health functions. However, due to excessive harvesting, the amount of wild Panax quinquefolium Linn. is less and less. Because Panax quinquefolium Linn. is a sciophytes, there are certain requirements for the growing environment and the reduction of forest area. These factors make the supply of wild Panax quinquefolium Linn. on the market in short supply.Therefore, artificial cultivation of Panax quinquefolium Linn. has broad prospects. This paper explores the problems faced by Panax quinquefolium Linn. in the production process and the causes of the problems.
