【Abstract】 Crop production maintains the basic human needs of life. Crop science, which consists of crop cultivation,farming and crop genetics, is one of the core disciplines of agricultural science. This study reviews and summarizes the researches of crop science development in China since the 20^th century. And the development of Chinese crop science has experienced three stages: the preliminary establishment in the first half of the twentieth century, the system formation from 1951 to 1978, and the rapid and comprehensive development period since 1979. Crop science has gone through from nonexistence to existence, from immaturity to perfection in the system, achieving remarkable achievements.更多还原
