【Abstract】 After the occurrence of hotel security incidents, the analysis of public cognition of hotel security incidents and their evolution is conducive for further improving hotel hygiene security management. Therefore, this paper takes the "five-star hotel health incident" on November 14, 2018 as an example for a case study. The study takes "hotel" and "health" as the key words to collect the online texts from November 14, 2018 to November 20, 2018 as the data source to explore and analyze the public’s cognition and evolution of the hotel safety incident. The result shows three findings: Firstly, the public cognition of hotel security incidents has multi-level characteristics. Secondly, public cognition of hotel security incidents has a ripple effect.
