“基础-转化型”研究是决胜病虫害防控的核心研发模式

【摘要】 作物病虫害防控技术研发是确保国家粮食与食品安全的重要战略必争领域,我国在该领域存在基础研究缺少突破、核心技术受制于人的情况,因而一直得到国家重点基础研究计划和重点研发计划的高度重视。由于正在执行的"化学肥料和农药减施增效综合技术研发"重点研发计划项目偏重现有技术的优化、集成和田间示范,在国际本领域研发水平突飞猛进的背景下,亟待调整布局面,增强基础-转化型研究的实施力度,研发具有绿色、高效、精准特征的革命性病虫害防控新技术,确保"舌尖上的安全"。

【Abstract】 Plant diseases caused by pathogenic microbes and insects are threatens to agricultural production.Generally, the major strategies to defend plant diseases are breeding of cultivars and application of antibiotics. However,development of these methods is slower than the evolution of pests, and the abuse of fertilizers and antibiotics causes environmental pollution worldwide. Recently, although China has sponsored a National Key R & D Program to decrease the usage of fertilizers and antibiotics, this program aims at field application of the established approaches, rather than creating revolutionary breakthrough based on the novel knowledge on the interactions between crops and pests. This brings long-term concern on the sustainability and creativity of the agricultural development. To solve this problem, translational investigation on the basic sciences is necessary for a future, smart pest control in China.
