【Abstract】 According to the poetry and articles of diplomatic envoys and their entourages,the dragon boat race in Ryukyu was usually held between Mid-autumn Festival and Double Ninth Festival,which served as an entertainment when the royal family feasted their guests. It was not until Xu Baoguang’s A General Introduction to Ryukyu in the Qing Dynasty that recordings of Ryukyu dragon boat race came into existence in China. Books such as Records of the Origins of the Country of Ryukyu and Qiuyang,a chronicle of the country of Ryukyu written by scholars in the Qing Dynasty made it clear that the custom of dragon boat race derived from Nanjing,the former capital city of the Ming Dynasty. However,in these books,there is no evidence to show the royal family entertained ambassadors by holding dragon boat race in autumn.更多还原
