【摘要】 五四运动是在中国社会现代化转型的漫长过程进入一个关键点的时候发生的,是近代中国人文化自觉的一个典型表现。五四运动对于中国的进步和发展的历史性意义,是全方位的,是至为巨大的。以"爱国、进步、民主、科学"为核心的五四精神是一个丰富的宝藏,其蕴含的资源,足够我们多少代人不断地挖掘,不断地利用,需要我们在总结历史经验的基础上进一步反思,进一步发现,进一步开发。一百年前,五四运动的主体是知识分子,一百年来,对继承和发扬五四精神的感受最为迫切、吁请最为强烈的也依然是知识分子,知识分子在国家政治、经济、社会、文化中的地位如何是与发扬五四精神的高低走势相一致的。现代化本质上是人的现代化,具有科学和民主精神的独立公民、具有创新意识和能力的大量人才,既是中国现代化最重要的支撑者和建设者,也是现代化事业成功的表征。为了实现中国的现代化,实现中华民族的伟大复兴,继承和发扬五四精神依然是我们当今的重要任务。更多还原

【Abstract】 The May 4 th Movement occurred at a critical point in the long process of China’s social modernization transformation,and it was a typical manifestation of Chinese cultural consciousness in modern times. The historic significance of the May 4 th Movement for China’s progress and development is comprehensive and immense. The May 4 th Movement Spirit,with patriotism,progress,democracy and science as its core,is a rich treasure. Its resources are enough for us to excavate and utilize continuously for generations. It requires us to reflect further on the basis of summing up historical experience,to discover further and to develop further. One hundred years ago,the main body of the May 4 th Movement was intellectuals. Over the past one hundred years,the most urgent appeals for inheriting and developing the May 4 th Movement spirit are still made by intellectuals. How did the status of intellectuals in national politics,economy,society and culture coincide with the trend of the May 4 th Movement spirit?Modernization is essentially the modernization of human beings. Independent citizens with scientific and democratic spirit and a large number of talents with innovative consciousness and ability are not only the most important supporters and builders of China’s modernization,but also the symbol of the success of modernization.
