【Abstract】 Chemistry is not only the study of the elements and the compounds they form and the reactions they undergo, it is also enlightening because chemists get the chance to understand the world and life with broadened horizons. Lessons learned from the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, from chemical changes, from the role of impurities and even mistakes are discussed from the view point of weltanschauung, the view of life and conception of the world.
