A new stem disease on Jinfeng pear orchard with typical symptoms including black lesions on stem and branches dieback was observed in Xingcheng city,Liaoning province. Disease survey and fungal isolation were carried out in this study. Based on morphological characteristics,Koch's postulation,and combined gene sequence analysis on ITS,EF1-α,CAL,TUB,and HIS,the causal agent of this new disease was identified as Diaporthe nobilis.
