【Abstract】 Statins are the most commonly used lipid-lowering drugs in the clinic. In recent years,its anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant and other pleiotropic effects has attracted much attention. At present, there is little progress in the treatment of sepsis associated adult respiratory distress syndrome( ARDS), and become one of the major causes of death in patients with severe infection. The pleiotropic effects of statins and the pathogenesis of sepsis associated ARDS has many correlation, may be an effective drug in the treatment.
