基于FPGA和PCI接口的EtherCAT从站网卡设计

【摘要】 在多相机的图像采集处理及控制系统中,多相机数据传输的实时性和高同步性均有较高需求,而且相机的图像处理控制系统较难融入EtherCAT总线系统。为此将FPGA和EtherCAT芯片作为硬件控制器,在FPGA顶层模块设计通信状态机,开发了一款具有EtherCAT协议通信功能的从站PCI接口网卡。将该网卡与工业相机相连的工控机接入EtherCAT网络,提供了灵活的用于实现图像采集处理的EtherCAT从站系统。通过模块测试以及搭建平台测试验证了所提方案的有效性,从站网卡能够满足相机数据传输需求正常运行,与网卡连接的工控机也能在EtherCAT总线系统中顺利与主从站通信。

【Abstract】 In the multi-camera image acquisition,processing and control system,there are higher requirements for the real-time and high synchronization of multi-camera data transmission. And it is difficult for the camera’s image processing control system to integrate into the EtherCAT bus system. So the FPGA and EtherCAT chips are taken as hardware controllers,the communication state machine is designed in the top-level module of FPGA. A slave station PCI interface network card with EtherCAT protocol communication function is developed. Connected to the EtherCAT network,the industrial computer which connected to the slave network card provids a flexible EtherCAT slave system for image acquisition and processing. The effectiveness of this proposed scheme is verified by module testing and platform tests. Slave network card can satisfy the normal operation of the data transmission requirement of the camera. The Industrial computers connected to the network card are also able to communicate with the master and slave stations successfully in the EtherCAT bus system.
