【Abstract】 ‘Luliu 3’ (Salix matsudana ‘Luliu3’ )is a male wild hybrid seedling found in natural willow forest on Estuary of the Yellow River in Dongying City,Shandong Province. It is selected after field test at seedling stage and regional trial. Characterized by a crooked trunk and unstratified crown composed by a number of branches,it is a quality cultivar with traits of high seedling and afforestation survival rate and strong ability of water tolerance and disease resistance under barren soil condition.
