仿真大气中子束流产生靶及引出方向的初步研究
Preliminary Study on Neutron Producing Target and Extraction for Atmospheric-Like Neutron Beam
【摘要】 利用FLUKA程序模拟计算了高能质子束打靶产生仿真大气中子束流时,靶材料、靶结构及入射质子能量对中子能谱的影响。结果表明,选择重金属铅或钨作为散裂靶材,不仅中子产额较大,而且当质子能量大于3GeV且在引出方向与质子入射方向夹角为30°时,中子能谱更接近标准大气中子能谱。对中国散裂中子源(China Spallation Neutron Source,CSNS)第1靶站产生的白光中子束流能谱计算表明,该能谱适于开展仿真大气中子在半导体存储器件中引起的软错误试验研究;同时,就能谱形状而言,未来CSNS第2靶站在引出方向与质子入射方向夹角为30°和15°的两条白光中子束线,更适合开展与大气中子束流相关的存储芯片和高集成电路的单粒子效应研究。
【Abstract】 To produce atmospheric-like neutron beams,the effects of target material,target structure and incident proton energy on neutron energy spectrum generated by interaction of high-energy proton beam with target are simulated by using the FLUKA code.The results indicate that using heavy-metal target material(lead or tungsten)can increase the neutron yield,and the neutron energy spectrum is more similar with the standard atmospheric neutron spectrum when proton energy is larger than 3 GeV and neutron extraction angle with respect to incident proton beam is 30°.The calculated white neutron beams generated from the first target station of China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)show that the energy spectra are suitable for carrying out the soft errors experimental research on semiconductor memory devices to simulate the effects of atmospheric-like neutrons.Simultaneously,in terms of spectral shape,the neutron beams from two white neutron beam lines(CSNS-TS2-30°and CSNS-TS2-15°)at the future second target station of CSNS are more suitable for the single event effects(SEE)study of memory chips and high integrated circuits.A possible extraction idea of the white neutron beam lines for the future second target station of CSNS is given and it can provide a significant reference for the construction of new neutron sources.
