公共外语教学如何支持地方本科高校转型发展

【摘要】 在地方本科高校转型发展过程中,公共外语教学应该积极支持大学功能和办学定位的实现,努力培养学校其他学科专业的应用型高级专门人才、帮助其他学科专业开展应用性研究、促进地方开展国际交流与合作和地方智库建设。应该更加贴近其他学科专业的具体要求,注重培养大学生的学科专业外语读、写、译、听、说能力和跨文化交流与合作能力,积极参与专业硕士研究生和来华留学生教育。公共外语教学的价值观、教师的知识结构和组织方式等也要作相应的改变。

【Abstract】 The common foreign language teaching in local applied universities should be in line with their universities’ functions and orientation,that is to say,efforts should be made to cultivate highlevel applied personnel of different disciplines and specialties,carry out applied research,promote international exchanges and cooperation,and construct local think tanks. What is more,it should be closer to the specific requirements of other disciplines and specialties,pay attention to the cultivation of students’ special foreign language abilities of reading,writing,translation,listening,speaking,and cross-cultural communication and cooperation,and participate actively in master’s degree and international students’ education too. Finally,the values of common foreign language teaching,the knowledge structure and organization mode of teachers should be changed accordingly.
