【Abstract】 Competitive sports spirit as the inner soul of competitive sports and value guidance, bloomed in ancient Greece period,medieval religious oppression not only suppress the competitive sports, also destroyed the competitive sports spirit. In modern time, due to the internal differentiation and the enlightenment of humanism, modern athletic sports got a growth and competitive sports spirit raised. The modern Olympic movement contributed to the rise of competitive sports spirit.
