【Abstract】 Teaching,collecting books and performing sacrificial rites were the top three functions of China’s traditional academies; for millennia,they underpinned the transformation of mechanisms of knowledge innovation,communication and application. Even though these traditional functions have faded in modern times,traditional academies have come to be valued for their smaller size,dedication to scholastic pursuits,and the harmonious relationship between the teacher and students,which set them apart from modern education institutions.更多还原
