【Abstract】 The demarcated boundaries between the painting and poetry, first proposed in Lessing’s Laocoon, became a hotly debated and thus more complicated issue during the modernist movement. One of the most innovative contributions to the critique of this question was made by British woman writer Virginia Woolf who believed that"humanity"is the primary concern of literature, especially in the area of fiction.
