【Abstract】 The Notions of "repetition and revision" came from Jazz music and Gate’s "signifying" theory. Suzan-Lori Parks named her own writing style "repetition and revision", which has constituted the central elements of her writing style and become her works’ orientation. This paper studied the writers who influenced Parks’s writing and Parks’s interpretation of the relationship between drama and history, and further analyzed Parks’ writing strategy about history-"repetition and revision", that is, Parks’ repeating uses of language, text structure, visual image, literary works, historical figures, historical events and scenes, and text structure in her drama creation, which creates a subversive change, thus revealing the forgotten and misread African-American history.更多还原
