A thermal-flow coupling calculation of stator-rotor narrow gap 3 D model was carried out by computational fluid dynamics method in the paper. The effects of stator slots,axial cooling flow and rotational speed on the windage loss were taken into account respectively,and the rotor surface heat transfer coefficients were obtained.
