【摘要】 站在大学文化传承与发展的高度,关注大学发展史的重点人物或经典事件,尤其关注那些科学大家,追忆他们对大学的文化、专业与学科的卓越贡献,让今人及后辈不能忘记他们。毛宗良(1897~1970),著名园艺学家、造园学家和农业教育家,擅长园艺植物的分类和解剖,在十字花科蔬菜、苋菜的分类和藜苋两科,以及茭白、荸荠等植物的解剖方面作出重大贡献。1935年前后主持国民政府的大礼堂、考试院、外交部和交通部等园林规划设计和建设,声名享誉中外。1935年他参与创办中国园林学会和《园艺月刊》。1949年毛宗良先生在复旦大学开办新中国第一个园林专业,正式为国家培养园林专业人才。他曾历任中央大学、复旦大学、四川大学和沈阳农学院教授。章守玉(1897~1985),著名园艺学家、造园学家和园艺教育家,近代花卉园艺学的奠基人。1922年毕业于日本千叶高等园艺学校,1928年负责南京中山陵园、明孝陵、灵谷寺和紫霞洞等园林设计与施工,随后在南京、镇江、西安和沈阳等地开展公园、陵园、大厦和使馆等园林规划设计与改建工作,对中国园林绿化发展作出巨大的贡献。他重点开展了唐菖蒲、菊花等花卉育种、栽培研究,并开展多种花卉资源分类、栽培、繁殖、驯化、选种和育种工作。历任西北农学院、南京临时大学、复旦大学、中央大学、河南大学和沈阳农学院教授。曾任中国园艺学会理事长。毛宗良先生和章守玉先生同生于1897年,他们一生立志园林园艺事业,呕心沥血,鞠躬尽瘁,在园艺园林领域取得了巨大的科学成就,时值两位先生诞辰120年,以朴素的文字追忆先生们的卓越功绩,旨在怀念前辈,鞭策同辈,激励后辈。更多还原

【Abstract】 Paying attention to the key figures and classic events in the history of colleges and universities, especially the masters of science and their outstanding contributions to the culture, specialty and discipline of colleges and universities, from the perspective of cultural heritage and development is just for contemporaries not to forget them.Mao Zong-liang(1897-1970), a famous horticulturist, horticulturalist, and agricultural educator in China, was accomplished in the classification and anatomy of horticultural plants and made significant contributions to the classification of cruciferous vegetables and leeks, and the anatomy of chenopodiaceous and amaranthaceous plant,and cane shoots and water chestnut. Zhang Shou-yu(1897-1985), a famous horticulturist, horticulturalist and the founder of modern flower horticulture in China, once presided over the greening design and construction of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Xiaoling Mausoleum, Linggu Monastery and Zixia Cave in Nanjing, and he also took part in the lanscape planning, design and reconstruction of parks, cemeteries, edifices and diplomatic missions in Chinese cities, such as Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Xi’an, etc., making great contributions to the Chinese landscaping development.Mr. Mao and Mr. Zhang, who were both born in 1897, devoted all their lives to gardening with heart and soul.
