【Abstract】 Tang Tingshu’s experience as a well-known comprador and an important figure in the Modernization Movement of Qing government has drawn plenty of attention from various scholars.However,as a boy born in a little village of Guangdong province,why could he achieve so much? Actually it was inseparable from his early education and work experience.From the reports of Morrison Education Society in Chinese Repository and Tang Tingshu’s later performance,it can be concluded that the School of Morrison Education Society had an important and positive influence on Tang Tingshu in terms of intellect,morality,social contact and personal pursuit.更多还原
