AgSbSe_2,containing non-toxic and earth abundant elements,becomes a promising thermoelectric material due to its low thermal conductivity. The crystal structure,electron band structure and basic physical properties of AgSbSe_2 is presented in this paper. Meanwhile,the strategies to improve the thermoelectric properties are summarized,such as doping,introducing vacancy,and composite.
