粗糙地形内潮导致混合的实验研究
Laboratory Study on Internal Wave Induced Mixing over Rough Topography
【摘要】 内潮是海洋能量级串中重要环节,对维持海洋背景层结及大尺度环流结构起着重要的作用。本文设计了粗糙地形内潮导致混合的实验方案,对内潮混合机制进行了探讨。根据混合机理将流场分为三个区域:底边界层区、近底边界层区及远离边界层区。利用PIV及ADV观测内潮流场中断面的流速,计算并对比了两者的无量纲流速振幅、雷诺剪切应力及湍耗散率。对比结果良好,实验方案可用于内潮混合的实验研究。
【Abstract】 The mixing induced by internal tides has great significance to the background stratification and circulation of the deep ocean,which is the important part of energy cascade in ocean.The article design an experimental scheme about mixing induced by internal tides and explore the internal tides mixing mechanism.According to mixing mechanism,the internal tides field is divided into three regions:bottom boundary layer region,near bottom region and far field region.We calculate and compare the dimensionless velocity amplitude,Reynolds shear stress and turbulent dissipation rate by using the internal velocity measured by PIV and ADV in profile.The comparison results are robust,and the experimental scheme can be used in research of internal tides mixing.
