【Abstract】 Philippine President Duterte has adopted various measures to fulfill his campaign promises since he came into power. One of his first actions was to declare war against drug abuse and gangster. He attempted very hard to find a peaceful solution in the conflict area of Mindono while reaching a settlement with the Philippine Communist Party. He planned to transform the Philippine political system through constitutional amendment at the end of his term. Economically,he had issued a series of development plans and programs with an aim to change the congested urban traffic by utilising huge amounts of foreign funds and loans to lay the foundation for economic growth,development and transformation. This paper introduces the key measures and policies adopted in the political and economic fields after Duterte came into office. Then,the paper gives an analysis of the reasons why Duterte fails to fufill his campaign pledges. In conclusion,the paper discusses the Philippine political and economic prospects.更多还原
