【Abstract】 The ancient Chinese city planning theory and legislation can be traced back to the eleventh century B. C.. Artificers( Kao Gong Ji) in Rites of the Zhou( Zhou Li) includes some detailed descriptions about this topic,and Histories( Guoyu) shows the establishment of legislation about city construction. Penetrating discussions by many wise men in the past about city construction form an important component of the history of Chinese culture.Therefore,in modern city planning and construction,it is helpful to explore the ideas and methodology of the ancient people in city planning and construction so as to build up rational ideas about human settlement.更多还原
