【Abstract】 The new version of the ISBD abolished the"general material designation"element of the old version, and revised it to"content form and media type"as zeroth items publication of ISBD. This article analyzes the reasons for the amendment, and introduces the specific identification method of"content form and media type",and according to the traditional habit of Chinese cataloging.
