【Abstract】 Zeng Guofan had accumulated a wealth of thoughts on study and academic culture during his lifetime. He advocated that " study is the way to make a man of moral integrity",and study is actually to " cultivate morality" and " develop profession". In his opinion,it is precious to have ambition,insight and perseverance; to study must be rigorous and self-restrained; impetuosity should be strictly avoided; we should be inclusive and expert in learning and apply learning to practice. He also advocated culture thoughts such as " treating Chinese learning as the fundamental structure and absorbing western science and technology for our use" and " integration of literature and Confucian school of philosophy". Zeng Guofan’s scholarship and academic culture thought have positive reference value and spiritual value for today’s students.更多还原
