The quartz sand was purified by sulfuric acid-hydrofluoric acid method, and the impurity content and particle size of quartz sand were characterized by inductively coupled plasma spectrometer and laser particle size analyzer. The results showed that at 80℃ sulfuric acid 3 mol/L, hydrofluoric acid 0.5 mol/L, reaction time 8 h, the content of elements Fe, K, Al fell to a lower level, and the quartz sand particle size did not change much. The best removal rates were 97.31%, 94.87%, and 86.47%, respectively.
