【Abstract】 Configuration design and 3 D modeling ability play a key role in training the innovative thinking ability to students. The method of improving the configuration design and 3 D modeling ability to students is discussed in the process of traditional engineering graphics teaching. A new method integrating traditional engineering graphic with configuration design and 3 D modeling ability is proposed. Studies show that the classroom teaching based on configuration and 3 D modeling ability has meaning for the teaching reform of engineering graphics curriculum.
