【Abstract】 During the period of Comrade Hu Yaobang’s president over the work of the Central Party School,and under the support and guidance from older generation of revolutionaries like Deng Xiaoping, a discussion on the criteria of truth was launched, and "two Genera"was counterattacked and broken away. This is one historical achievement of Comrade Hu Yaobang. Comrade Hu Yaobang organized 800 students in the Central Party School to discuss about "The Three Route Battle", and examined "cultural revolution"with practical standards, and effectively promoted the rectification of chaos. Especially in the critical moment of pushing the discussion of standard of truth, he received the great support from Comrade Luo Ruiqing, which was leading the daily work of Central Military Commission.
