硬X射线调制望远镜卫星在轨标定数据处理
In-orbit Calibration Data Processing of HXMT Satellite
【摘要】 为了完成对观测源的科学分析,需要对硬X射线调制望远镜(HXMT)卫星进行在轨标定。利用卫星上携带的标定放射源、探测器元素活化后产生的活化线、荧光线及有谱线辐射的天体源,对探测器的增益和能量分辨率进行标定;利用Crab脉冲星的能谱完成高能、中能和低能望远镜有效面积的标定。通过HXMT卫星与射电望远镜和伽马波段望远镜对Crab脉冲星的联合观测,对时间系统进行检验。从联合计时残差对比发现,HXMT卫星的时间系统计时准确,并且高能、中能和低能望远镜的绝对时间精度优于100μs。
【Abstract】 In order to perform the scientific analysis of observation target,the calibration of the HXMT(hard X-ray modulation telescope)satellite must be done in orbit.The radioactive sources,activated lines due to the activation of detector elements,the fluorescence line,and celestial sources with emission lines are used to calibrate the gain and energy resolution of the detectors.The Crab pulsar is adopted as the primary effective area calibrator to high,medium and low energy telescopes.The coordinated observations of Crab pulsar with HXMT satellite,radio telescope and gamma ray telescope are carried out to verify the timing system.The comparison of combined time residual shows that the timing system of HXMT satellite is accurate and the absolute timing accuracies of high,medium and low energy telescopes are better than 100μs.
